On November 8, 2023, with the 2nd Ordinary General Assembly held at Liv City Hotel Istanbul, our Founding President Ömer Faruk Akbal passed the presidency to Bayram Tekçe, also one of the founders of GIGDER.
As the Real Estate Service Exporters Association (GIGDER), we are delighted to have successfully conducted our 2nd Ordinary General Assembly. First and foremost, we would like to express our gratitude to all members who attended our General Assembly and shared in our excitement.
During our 2nd Ordinary General Assembly held at Liv City Hotels Istanbul on November 8, 2023, the Founding President of our Association, Ömer Faruk Akbal, handed over the presidency to Bayram Tekçe, who is also one of our founders and has been serving as the Vice President of the Board of Directors and the Chairman of the Research and Publications Committee for many years. In recognition of his contributions, Ömer Faruk Akbal was granted the title of Honorary President.
New Name of the Association: "Real Estate Service Exporters Association"
GIGDER President Bayram Tekçe, in his speech during the general assembly, stated that with the responsibility he took over from Ömer Faruk Akbal, they will work with all their might to advance the sector further. Tekçe also announced that the name of the association has been changed to "Real Estate Service Exporters Association" and shared the following in his speech:
"We are ready for the new term with our strong management team. I am excited to lead GIGDER to new heights. In the upcoming period, as GIGDER, we will take the necessary steps for the legal infrastructure of the real estate export ecosystem. We will make intensive efforts for sector stakeholders to become members of the Service Exporters Association (HİB) and establish a committee for real estate service export within HİB. We will focus on creating a suitable investment ground for international investors with an approach that also considers the interests of the country. Other focal points include incorporating brokerage firms into the licensing/certification program and establishing the necessary structure for conducting all transactions in international real estate investments at a single point. I truly believe that we will take our association forward with cooperation and solidarity.

Establishment of Ethical Principles and Ethical Board Regulation
One of the important regulations made with our 2nd Ordinary General Assembly was the establishment of ethical principles and the completion of the ethical board regulation. Within this framework, ethical principles that GIGDER members must adhere to were determined, and the regulation of the Ethical Board, which will be the supervisor of these principles, was completed.
