On July 20-21, 2023, in Sapanca, 65 sector representatives gathered along with relevant NGOs (GAPAS, GIGDER, GISP, HIB, INDER, ITO, KONUTDER, MÜSIAD, TDUB, TUGEM), and academicians for our workshop titled 'Rethinking International Real Estate Investments for Turkey in Global Competition.'

During the workshop, presentations, discussions, and consultations took place on new models to attract qualified investors to Turkey in order to increase the country's share of international real estate investments. Different models, challenges, and emerging trends worldwide were reviewed in light of Turkey's needs and realities.

As a result of the workshop, some views and suggestions emerged that could be implemented in the short, medium, and long term. These include the design of a reinforced Residency by Investment (RBI) product, distinct from the Citizenship by Investment (CBI) program, among other innovations. Establishing the infrastructure for a sustainable and efficient sector was another highlighted outcome, focusing on the public interest aspects discussed during the workshop.
